Black Joy Parade 2025!
UPDATE 2/22: Street closures are confirmed to begin at 3pm. Port Labs parking lot will remain closed to all member parking effective now through Monday morning at 7am.
The City of Oakland is hosting the 9th Annual Black Joy Parade next Sunday, February 23rd, from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm here in Uptown Oakland.
Please note these street closures impacting our spaces. Note that street closures will begin at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 22nd, and the city anticipates having all the streets reopened by Sunday, February 23rd, at midnight.
At Port Labs - we partner with Black Joy Parade to be used as their volunteer and staff command center. This means the parking lot, 1st floor conference rooms, and main event floor are used for staff storing of supplies, equipment, and logistics.
Black Joy Parade has 24/7 security on-site at Port Labs during this time. No member areas will be affected. Reach out to us with any questions.
